Environment, health, safety and quality
Our first concern as a manufacturing organization is the health and safety of our employees. Like many companies, Yongjie has been focusing on accident-free operations. Of course, given the scale and complexity of our operations, achieving this goal is a constant challenge that requires leadership, vigilance, innovation and regular training.
From an environmental perspective, we also want to ensure that materials are recycled properly to avoid landfills, save resources and reduce emissions. But our concern for the environment, health, safety and quality does not begin and end at the manufacturing plant. We understand that in order to build a better society, it is also important to find innovative ways to improve the impact of products across their entire life cycle: from reducing energy and water use to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We continuously evaluate the raw materials we procure, the products we manufacture, the benefits we realize at the end of their useful lives, and the emissions of pollutants generated at each step of the process.
Our commitment to health and safety is built into our culture and heritage. This core commitment enhances operational efficiency and productivity, increases employee engagement and focus, and directly impacts our reputation with our customers, shareholders, regulators and community members. We have systems in place at all of our operations to prevent accidents and continuously improve environmental and safety performance, and we strive to improve standards and performance across the industry.
